Krynica Morska, Poland
You've heard of swimming with wild boars in the Bahamas, but what about in Poland? The group of (fairly tame) wild boars wandering the beach at Krynica Morska has become an attraction, although it is not advisable to feed or play with them. In addition to a number of new pig friends, there are also wide sandy beaches with impressive dunes, nature reserves, walking and cycling trails, spas and a striking lighthouse to visit. Pro tip: Follow the trails to the viewpoint atop the highest dune, Wielbłądzi Garb (Camel Hump), for views over Vistula and the Baltic Lagoon.
How to do that: Rooms in the chalet-like Perla Mare Aparthotel (00 48 55 261 334; perlamare.pl) start at around £50, including breakfast and use of the two swimming pools.
