Today marks the start of ten days of action, with Athing Mu, Dina Asher-Smith and Mondo Duplantis among those seeking glory on the world stage.
On the first day of competition Allyson Felix competes in the mixed 4x400m relay. The heats will start at 7:45pm BST, with the final run being the last event of the day at 3:50am on Saturday morning. Felix is retiring at the end of the 2022 season, so this is her last chance to increase her total of 13 World Cup gold medals.
Laura Muir also kicks off her 1500m campaign with the heats on opening day, while the men’s 100m also kicks off with the preliminaries and heats.

UK World Championships date, start time and venue
The UK Athletics Championship 2022 will take place from Friday 15 July to Sunday 24 July.
The meeting will be held in the US at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon. The action on the first day kicks off with the men’s hammer throw at 5:05 PM BST.
