A 23-year-old business graduate from York University in Canada, Chinonso Anene, is said to have committed suicide in Lagos.
According to reports, Anene allegedly locked himself in his apartment at House 9, Emmanuel Court, Olusegun Aina Street, Parkview Estate, Ikoyi and then used a pump gun to shoot himself.
His lifeless body was discovered in the wardrobe when police officers broke open the door of his apartment.
State Police Command spokesman SP Benjamin Huydeyin confirms the incident;
“The DPO Ikoyi Division received a distress call from the Chief Security Officer of Parkview Estate, Mr. Daramola, that Chinonso Anene committed suicide. Based on the report, a team of detectives visited and photographed the scene, the door was broken open and one empty cartridge was recovered.
The remains of the deceased have been deposited at the Lagos Island morgue for autopsy while an investigation is underway.”
