Prince William will meet Jacinda Ardern on her last day in Europe

After eating at Downing St 10 with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Jacinda Ardern will meet royals at Kensington Palace.

Ardern will not meet with Queen Elizabeth II. The Queen is not in London this weekend.

Queen Elizabeth, who is 96 years old, has retired from most of the royal duties.

Instead, Ardern confirmed she was scheduled to meet Prince William at Kensington Palace on Saturday.

Ardern said she admired the queen, who is New Zealand’s official head of state, but was open and happy to meet all the royals while she was in the UK.

“When it comes to Her Majesty, I channel exactly the same sentiment you heard during the anniversary celebrations in New Zealand – such admiration for especially her decades of service to New Zealand,” she said.

“I can tell you from the commitments I was privileged to have with Her Majesty, her love for New Zealand is very, very sincere, and it is much appreciated.”

The Prime Minister’s meeting with Prince William will be one of the last events in his trip to Europe.

During the week, she attended the NATO Leaders’ Summit in Spain and agreed to a free trade agreement with the European Union in Belgium. She also held many meetings with European leaders, as well as catching up with the leaders of Japan, Australia and South Korea at NATO.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern meets with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson at Downing St 10 in London, UK.

On Friday, after arriving in London – the last leg of this European trip – Ardern headed to Johnson’s official residence on Downing St.

Their meeting lasted for more than 90 minutes as the two leaders were on their way for lunch after their official bilateral meeting.

Johnson apparently enjoyed the opportunity to meet Ardern and greeted her with a long handshake on the footpath of Downing St – all while British journalists questioned his suitability and questioned those of some of his MPs.

The British prime minister is facing huge pressure after “party gate” and allegations of improperness made against several MPs from the Conservative Party.

During the meeting, they confirmed an extension on the suitability for young Britons and Kiwis to work and travel in New Zealand and the UK.
