The 65-year-old model and actress filed a petition with the California Superior Court, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the legal basis for divorce.
In her petition, she also seeks the help of an unspecified spouse from 91-year-old media tycoon Murdoch and asks him to pay attorneys’ fees.
“I don’t know the full nature and scope of all (Murdock’s) assets and liabilities, and I’ll amend this petition once the information is confirmed,” she said in the petition.
Hall’s lawyer, Ronald Broto, did not immediately respond to Reuters’ request for comment.
Murdoch and Hall married in March 2016 at a modest ceremony at Spencer House in central London. This was Murdoch’s fourth marriage and Hall’s second marriage.

Hall was a long-term partner of the Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger and had four children.
