A strong Friday training session indicated that Mercedes was not far from the goal in their hopes of fighting Red Bull and Ferrari for pole position.
George Russell will also hope to upset the apple cart of Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc’s scrap for the F1 title.
The Dutchman in the Red Bull definitely comes out on top in that battle so far, which means the onus rests on Ferrari to deliver for their man a car capable of regaining momentum.

How can I watch the F1 British Grand Prix?
Free-to-air TV: Channel 4 will be qualifying to be broadcast in full on terrestrial television, with coverage starting today at 14:10 BST. The session will begin at 3 p.m.
Satellite TV channel: Qualification will be shown live on Sky Sports F1 and Main Event, with coverage also starting at 14:10.
Live stream: Sky Sports subscribers can also sign up online via the Sky Go app. All4 will also show the session live for free.
