A WOMAN was left crushed after her 12th marriage expired.
Monette Dias, 52, can’t stop getting married, hoping to find one and have a fairytale ending.
Monette, an interior designer, from the USA, appeared on TLC’s Addicted to Marriage, where she was hoping to find a 12th and last man.
But unfortunately it did not go as Monette had planned.
She revealed: “It’s really painful for me to have another failure, especially in this relationship where I tried so hard.”
As the single opens up to her sister about her recent argument with her fiancé John, she reveals: “Sometimes I think he’s getting as mean as he can to me because he wants me to get away.”
Her sister, Marcie, admits she was not worried when her sister got married the first two or three times.
But after being married eleven times, she worries that her sister will never meet the right person.
Marcie, on the other hand, was married once and has been with her partner for 38 years.
After Monette spoke to her sister, Monette decided to talk to John about their issues to put things right – but it did not go quite according to plan.
The conversation escalates with John saying, “Until you come to terms with what you do and your role in your failed relationships, you will never have a good one.”
Both are puzzled as to how they want their relationship to move forward and cannot see eye-to-eye over the matter and Monette sees no choice but to go.
Instead of continuing to fight, Monette goes to her grandchildren and takes a break.
Although Monette is still not quite in the mood to walk down the aisle with man number twelve, she said after a few months she might be ready.
“I’m still going to hold on hoping to finally have a good marriage,” she adds.
