Sunny spells and scattered showers are forecast as temperatures reach teens

Conditions will be mixed today with light showers and scattered showers as temperatures reach the high teens.

Also in the afternoon there are few heavy showers possible, according to Met Éireann.

Temperatures will range between 16C and 19C with moderate southwest winds, cool or strong on the Atlantic coasts.

Sunday will be cloudy across the country, but with a lot of dry weather.

Occasionally there will be some sunny spells along with only scattered showers with highest temperatures between 15C and 19C with moderate westerly or northwesterly winds.

Early next week it will be quite cloudy with occasional rain or showers, especially in the west and north.

Further east and south there will be some sun and towards the end of the week it will be warmer and sunnier.

Monday will be mostly dry, but mostly cloudy. With a moderate westerly wind, a few showers will move across the country to the east.

The highest temperatures are between 15C and 19C, the warmest in the southeast of the country.

Monday night there will be rain and drizzle in the west and northwest. Elsewhere it will be mostly dry with only isolated showers and the lowest temperatures between 9C and 12C with moderate westerly winds.

Tuesday there will be a lot of clouds over Ireland with a few showers. The best chance of sunny periods is in the east and south of the country.

The highest temperatures are between 16C and 20C, warmest in the east and southeast.

It will become humid overnight with localized light rain or drizzle extending from the west with the lowest temperatures between 12C and 15C with moderate westerly winds.

Similar weather conditions are forecast for Wednesday with a lot of clouds and scattered showers.

The best sunshine will be in the east and south with the highest temperatures between 16C and 21C with moderate westerly winds.

Tonight it will be cloudy with fog or drizzle with the lowest temperatures between 12C and 15C.
