There is nothing else in the world like watching Adele London play.

With Hyde Park’s BST (and looking absolutely dazzling) the pressure was on – she has not played a major concert in a year and a half – but as she watches the thousands of people sing Hello with her hit , she was immediately Home.

She gave nothing less than perfection during the spectacular two hours, and although her vocals would always be different words, it was her unadulterated joy to be back on stage that made the evening so special.

The superstar burst into tears in the opening lines and was palpable when she told the audience, ‘I’m so glad to be here’. It seemed like an understatement for what was a night full of laughter and tears.

She mixed it with newer hits like I Drink Wine before throwing it back for I’ll Be Waiting and Rumor Has It.

The crowd, which included celebrities like Tom Cruise, Ant and Dec, and James Corden, as well as her beloved nine-year-old son Angelo, went completely wild for Skyfall, before going live for Send My Love (To Your New Lover). ).

Of course, in between the fact that she gave us completely flawless singing, she, like everyone else’s best friend, chatted away with the crowd.

She gave us a rare insight into what she was doing, and shared her love for Billie Eilish (‘I was planning to go to Glastonbury, but I went to see Billie Eilish at the O2. She was impeccable ‘) and admits she will be’ all night through the new episodes of Stranger Things.

It was one of the first times she performed her single Easy On Me live, and she gave us absolute perfection, before letting everyone love their loved ones for Make You Feel My Love.

But one of the most moving moments – and perhaps one of the most memorable for her – came when the superstar was overwhelmed with emotion and heard fans sing back to her iconic hit Someone Like You. Hand on her heart she shed tears as she returned to where she belonged.

Set Fire To The Rain was characterized by incredible fireworks, and the star went on to thank everyone once again and left us with Rolling In The Deep, When We Were Young and Love Is A Game.

Again, Adele has proven there is no one who does it like she does. She is undoubtedly one of the best live artists in the world and after 14 years of superstars she is only getting better and better.

Adele, we can not wait to see you again.
