Ahead of the new season, the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) awards for a number of Liverpool players have been announced.

The popular fantasy football game – played by millions of people around the world – involves scoring points based on player performance in top league matches in England.

Points are earned for goals, assists, clean sheets and bonus points, and it’s not surprising that the Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah tends to play in numerous managerial teams.

The Egyptian international, who has signed a new long-term contract to extend his stay at Anfield, will cost a whopping £13 million.

Fantasy Premier League managers are given just £100million to build their squads, meaning Salah would be claiming a large chunk of that budget.

Darwin Nunez, a club record £85million, is modestly priced by Liverpool with £9million in the game.

Diogo Jota, who was a midfielder last season, has switched to a striker and will also cost £9million.

The marauding fullbacks Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson cost £7.5million and £7million respectively.

A selection of Arsenal’s player awards was also announced Friday, with major changes for Eddie Nketiah and Bukayo Saka.

Nketiah, the Gunners’ new number 14, has risen to £7million from £5.5million last season, while Saka comes in at £8million, from £6.5million in the 2021/22 season.
