Wife of Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer died at the age of 55.
Linda Gale Kramer, described by rock stars as “love for his life,” died on June 22nd.
According to an obituary posted in the Boston Herald, a 72-year-old drummer and his wife are “inseparable,” family and friends said. It also added that she “loved her family, especially her niece and her nephew.”
Joey officials also confirmed sad news with several media outlets, but the cause of death was not announced.
They tied a knot in 2009 and married for 13 years. Musicians described the first meeting as “the biggest rush of life ever.”
Kramer was born on February 27, 1967 in Decatur, Georgia, and moved to Houston, Texas in 1971.
“Above all, she loved her family, especially her niece and nephew. She was insatiable about the well-being of children everywhere,” the obituary read.
Just one day before her death, Kramer went to her Twitter page to wish her husband a happy 72nd birthday.
“Happy birthday to the love of my life !!” she added, “You are the greatest man with the greatest heart I know. I love my sweet boy.” I did.
Joey has been a member of Aerosmith since its founding in 1970.
The band also consists of lead singer Steven Tyler, guitarists Joe Perry and Brad Whitford, and bassist Tom Hamilton.
