Kevin and Nicola Gomersall live in Whinmoor, West Yorkshire, and have five children aged 3, 10, 13, 15, and 17. They were discovered by Leeds Live, who sells their property at Wetherby CarBoot Sale. A construction worker, a 40-year-old father, talked about the difficulties he and his wife face to get through.

He told Leeds Live: I can’t even go out anymore. I have no money to pay, so basically I have to sit down.

“When you live under each other, it causes a lot of controversy. We get angry. We need our space.”

The couple’s energy bill, which has to provide their children with access to computers and the Internet, has risen by £ 75. This is what my mother calls a “big leap.”

Nikola, 39, who works as a cleaner, said her family was forced to make impossible decisions about their daily lives.

He’s on the waiting list for the school bus she’s smoking, but it’s still about £ 80 a month.

Kevin said: “When I asked for government support, I was told to change my child’s school to make it easier because it would be too expensive.”

Nicola said: “They aren’t very good schools, so I don’t want him to go to a school near us.”
