Umans were not the only ones celebrating Pride Saturdays in the capital, as dressed-up little ones also took to the streets.
Dogs with rainbow wings, proud bandanas and the procession behind the wheel of a hot pink mini car were photographed and posted on social media.
They joined thousands for the 50th anniversary of the UK’s first Pride parade and for what was also the first Pride in London since the pandemic.
Participants said that dressing the dogs in color contributed “that extra level of joy” to the day.
“Seeing little ones marching with their owners, too, added that extra level of joy to an already big day,” Frankie Fermi, 33, told the PA news agency.
“It was great to finally be able to march to Covid again.
“The atmosphere was incredible and all things considered, it felt great to be with other members of the LGBT + community,” the social media manager added.
One dog is pictured steering a mini pink cart, standing on all fours while Pride flags were waved above.
A few more corgis were spotted marching with rainbow-colored ledges.
A doll named Lady posed for the camera while wearing a Pride bandana, complete with a rainbow heart.
Milo and Apollo were photographed during the parade by their owner, Mark Pakianathan.
The event, which the organizers call the “biggest and most inclusive event in history”, also features a series of artists performing across four stages around central London while pop star Ava Max closes the show on Trafalgar Square stage.
