Wimbledon: Rafael Nadal defeats Lorenzo Sonego in a straight set

Rafael Nadal apologized for his actions after defeating Lorenzo Sonego in a straight set and reaching the fourth round of Wimbledon.

Nadal cruised the first two sets 6-1, 6-2, but ran for his money in the third set, which ended 6-4. The 22 Grand Slam winners complained to their opponents.

The Spaniards called on Sonego in the last few games and greatly appealed to the Italians’ frustration and confusion that he recognized him as a non-sportsman.

Nadaru was asked what he said to Sonego after the match. “It’s not spicy. I didn’t do it in a negative way from the bottom of my heart.

“I’m sorry if I bothered him, but I did it the right way. I’m sorry to bother him and I’m really sick. So I’ll talk to him later, This is not a problem.

“Probably my best match here in the championship and against the most difficult player I faced. I was able to raise my level. It’s a great pleasure. I hope Lorenzo Sonego will be the best player of the season. I think he has a great future here.

At the age of 36, he was also asked about his health and replied:’It’s always tricky.

“I have experienced some severe injuries in my career, but in a way I am very fortunate to still be able to play at my age. What happens 10 years ago? I didn’t expect it, so I thank all the people who supported me on this trip.

Nadaru will face Van Desand Sulp in the fourth round.
