Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker spoke out following their life-threatening order with pancreatitis.
Travis was rushed to hospital by ambulance earlier this week, and the couple revealed that Travis underwent a routine endoscopy that injured a critical pancreatic drainage tube that left him in ‘exhausting pain’.
Kourtney wrote: ‘Oh, what a scary and emotional week it was. Our health is everything and sometimes we accept how quickly it can change.
‘Travis and I went for a routine endoscopy together and he ended up with severe, life-threatening pancreatitis.
‘I am so thankful to God that He healed my husband, for all your prayers for him and for us, for the overwhelming outpouring of love and support. I was so touched and appreciated.
“I am so grateful to our specialists, doctors and nurses at Cedars Sinai that they took such wonderful care of me and my husband during our stay.”
She added: “It’s crazy how words can sometimes never really express the gratitude or feelings I have in me.”
Travis also shared his first post since the emergency, adding: ‘I went in for an endoscopy on Monday and felt good. But after dinner I developed excruciating pain and have been hospitalized ever since.
‘During the endoscopy, I had a very small polyp removed in a very sensitive area, usually handled by specialists, which unfortunately damaged a critical pancreatic drainage tube. This has led to serious, life-threatening pancreatitis. ‘
He added: “I am so very very grateful that I am currently much better with intensive care.”
News of Travis rushing to the hospital broke Tuesday and Kourtney stayed next to his bed during his stay.
His daughter Alabama Barker asked for prayers for her father after he was rushed to the hospital by ambulance.
