Martin’s publicist did not immediately return a message asking for comment.

It was not immediately known who applied for the restraining order. Valencia said it could not provide further details because the order was filed under Puerto Rico’s domestic violence law.

El Vocero, a Puerto Rican newspaper, claims the order reads that Martin and the other party went out for seven months.

The report cites the order that they were separated two months ago, but the applicant says Martin did not accept the divorce and has been seen wandering around near their house at least three times.

“The petitioner fears for his safety,” El Vocero quoted the order as saying.

The AP did not obtain a copy of the order.

Valencia said the order prohibits Martin from contacting or calling the person who filed it and that a judge will later determine at a trial whether the order should remain in place or be revoked. I added that orders are usually implemented for at least a month.

Valencia noted that the person who filed the restraining order did not contact the police, which would have involved prosecutors to determine if there was enough evidence to file charges. The request rather went straight to court.

While the applicant’s identity remains sealed under Puerto Rico’s Act 54 statute, which prevents and fights domestic abuse, it does not appear that the alleged victim is Martin’s husband Jwan Yosef.

He and his wife, who married in 2017, share 13-year-old twins Valentino and Matteo, as well as Lucia, three and Renn, also three.

In June 2021, Martin talked about his family while shutting down rumors that they were expecting another child.

“I do not hide anything these days. We are not pregnant, ā€¯Martin told People at the time. ‘At the moment we’re dealing with a twin and an Irish twin, because Lucia and Renn are only nine months apart. And they are overwhelming, but we are strong and healthy. ‘

Yet he said they want ‘more’ children in the future, and they have ‘frozen embryos’.
