REBEL Wilson has vowed to head to the gym after revealing she had gained weight during her whirlwind holiday in Europe over the past few weeks.

The Australian actress posted on Instagram on Sunday to show off her slender figure in a red swimsuit, while admitting she had gotten off the road.

The Pitch Perfect star told her followers that she put on 3kg while feasting at a luxury resort.

“I just noticed that I put on 3kg on my holiday,” Rebel said in her caption, before adding, “I’m at a wonderful all-inclusive resort … I’ve lost all self-control.”

“But you know what? I can get up tomorrow and go to the gym, and hydrate and eat healthy and love myself.

“It doesn’t help to be hard on yourself, but I know what it’s like to feel guilty and not feel great after eating too much.”

Rebel has changed her figure impressively by losing 35kg over the past two years.

Her weight loss is widely attributed to the strategies developed by the Austrian doctor, Dr. Franz Xaver Mayr.

However, she distanced herself from the Mayr method in a statement on Instagram earlier this year and told her 10.6 million followers: “It was never my diet.”

The Mayr method eliminates certain foods, reduces sugar and also encourages certain eating practices such as chewing food thoroughly.

Rebel revealed at The Drew Barrymore Show in 2020 that her previous diet had high levels of carbohydrates and sugar.

The star also recently shared the very simple way she shed 35kg to walk.

She told Apple Fitness + in January that walking – rather than doing endless high-intensity workouts – was actually her secret weapon for weight loss.

Rebel said a doctor at a health resort advised her to start walking and maintained it was the ‘best way’ for her to shed those pounds.
