Kiwi UFC fighter Carlos Ulberg scored an impressive knockout victory at UFC Vegas 57.
The 31-year-old light heavyweight fighter needed only 75 seconds to dismiss Cameroon’s Tafon Nchukwi on Sunday (NZ time) as he impressed early in his MMA career.
In what was just his third UFC outing, Ulberg, who went into the fight as a minor, caught Nchukwi a little over a minute into the first round with a strong left hook.
After stumbling backwards, a stunned Nchukwi then kicked off a wave of fists from Ulberg, who handled things in brutal style, while his City Kickbox mates, including Israel Adesanya, and Brad Riddell, celebrated wildly next to the cage.

The sublime performance takes Ulberg to a 5-1 MMA career record, and 2-1 in the UFC, after abandoning his debut match last year and then securing a first win in February, while Nchukwi is now 6-3 and 2 -3 is. in the UFC.
Next weekend, Ulberg’s City Kickboxing teammates will be in action, at UFC 276 in Las Vegas, while Adesanya puts his middleweight title against Jared Cannonier at stake, and top lightweight Riddell takes on Jalin Turner.
