Here at Google Play, we’re constantly working on new ways for developers to grow their business, including more installs, better engagement, and better monetization. For those who missed it, here are the top three new ways to grow your business announced at this year’s Google I / O.
# 1: Improved list of custom stores
List of custom stores By getting major updates and displaying the right messages to each person, we offer a new way to make a great first impression.
Now that you can generate unique deep links to your custom lists, you can display different lists to your users, depending on which channel or site they came from. Play Console also provides analysis for each custom list, so you can see the effect of each variation and optimize it over time.
All developers can create up to 50 custom store lists, so you can create more personalized narratives for your users than ever before. There are up to 5 experiments per list, and the opportunities for optimization are enormous.
The custom store listings will be significantly updated to provide new ways to improve conversion rates.
# 2: LiveOps Open Beta
LiveOps is a self-service merchandising unit in the Play Store that promotes major updates to events, offers, games and apps for a limited time. Beta developers can send content that helps them install, engage, and increase sales.
In addition, you can now use deep links to drop users directly onto the most relevant parts of your app or game and measure their success in Play Console’s new LiveOps reporting dashboard. These reports provide a detailed view of the performance metrics for each event and show the results over time and as a result (get, open, update).

LiveOps Beta developers can submit content featured on the Google Play Store.
# 3: New flexible tool for increasing subscriptions
As the subscription business model has evolved, many developers have sought to increase the flexibility and complexity of how subscriptions are sold. With the major update, we have launched a new subscription feature. This allows you to configure multiple base plans and offers per subscription. The cost and complexity of managing an ever-growing SKU while attracting new subscribers, encouraging upgrades, and retaining existing subscribers by creating multiple offers that support different stages of the subscription life cycle. Significantly reduce the cost.
With each subscription, you can now configure multiple base plans and offers without having to manage an ever-growing number of SKUs.
In addition, we are now able to offer prepaid plans that users can access for a period of time. You can also create the best options for regions where pay-as-you-go is standard and for users who aren’t ready to commit to an auto-renewal plan. Users can easily charge the app or extend their access period on the Play Store subscription screen at any time before the plan expires.
This was three releases from a series of great updates that helped Play grow and thrive. Want to see more? Be sure to catch the full Google Play playlist from Google I / O.
