Brexit man Steve Bray clashed with Tory MP Andrew Bridgen in a heated argument over Parliament Green amid the Conservative Party shake it up. Mr Bray is notorious for being an incredibly loud protester of Brexit, known for rushing MPs to condemn the UK’s departure from the European Union. MP for North West Leicestershire Mr Bridgen struggled to contain his frustration when he was accosted by the activist outside parliament on a turbulent day for the Tory leadership. Speaking to Mr Bray, the Conservative MP threatened to call the police in an attempt to curb the activist’s ‘harassing’ behavior before he left the scene.
Carrying his collection of anti-Brexit signs, Mr Bray approached the Tory MP with a cheerful greeting: “Good morning Mr Bridgen.”
“Slide away or I’ll call the police,” Mr Bridgen snapped back.
The activist replied, ‘It’s such a great day and do you want to call the police? Why?”
Mr Bridgen’s response was blunt and direct: “Because you always harass me.”
The activist continued to encourage the exchange when Mr. Bray replied, “I never, we always have a chat.”
Mr Bridgen said, “My patience is as exhausted with you as with Boris Johnson.”
Bray went on to taunt the Conservative MP: “What are you going to do? Are you going to hit me, Mr. Bridgen?’
“I wouldn’t waste my energy,” Mr Bridgen replied as he ran away from the protester.
