The 89-year-old was also seen with an assistant holding his arm and supporting the actor as he walked.
This isn’t the first time the movie star has been seen with a frame, as he suffered a broken ankle in 2018 after falling on the ice and has since transitioned between a cane and a frame.
Sir Michael looked smart as he enjoyed a day out in the capital, dressed in a light blue shirt, black trousers, a waterproof jacket and a baseball cap.
Meanwhile, his 75-year-old wife – whom he married in 1973 – wore a long white shirt, a casual touch with trainers and a sweater around her shoulders.

Candid about his health and new career as a writer, he revealed that his upcoming film, Best Sellers, will most likely be his last film.
“I got this alcoholic part and, strangely enough, it really turned out to be my last part,” he said. ‘Because I haven’t worked for two years and I have a spinal problem that affects my legs, so I can’t walk very well.
“And I’ve also written a book – a few books – that have been published and have been successful. I’m not an actor now, I’m a writer, which is wonderful because as an actor you have to get up at 5:30 in the morning and go to a studio.
“As a writer, you start writing without getting out of bed!”
Chat on Kermode and Mayo’s movie review the star also clarified that there have been “no offers” for movies he wants to be involved in lately.
‘I’m 88 too! There aren’t really any scripts pouring out where the leading man is 88! You know?” he then added.
Despite messages, the cover confirmed with Sir Michael’s representatives that he will not be ‘fully retiring’.
