Short in the new episode of Jeopardy! Tuesday, Mayim seemed to accept an answer that was not quite correct.

The clue given was: “Celebrity ‘Jeopardy!’ pitted Lloyd Bridges III (aka Beau) against Coy Perry III (aka Luke), Dylan McKay in this Fox drama.

reigning champion Yungsheng replied, “What is 90210?”

Mayim accepted that answer, although the full title was not given, even adding it for him, saying, “Yes, Beverly Hills, 90210.”

Fans were upset about this because while the popular ’90s series is often simply referred to as 90210, there was also a spin-off with that title that aired on The CW.

Mayim was criticized on social media for not asking Yungsheng to be more specific with his answer before accepting it.

An angry danger! fan slammed: “Who cares!!! The show wasn’t called 90210. Way to let that one Mayim slide!”

Another explained: “90210 and Beverly Hills, 90210 are two different shows.”

A third insisted, “So man shouldn’t have gotten the money to answer ‘90210’ because that wasn’t the series with Dylan McKay as the character. It was Beverly Hills, 90210.”

“Again, the host intervened and said, ‘That’s right Beverly Hills 90210,’ wrote a fourth angry fan.

They added: “That was not what he said. He was wrong. She is a terrible host and I am about to abandon Jeopardy.”

Others said the late Alex Trebek “would never let a contestant get points by giving only a partial answer” and criticized Mayim for doing it “all the time” rather than telling the contestants to be specific.

Some pointed out that the Big Bang Theory alum had even done it the day before.

“As with Bush’s question yesterday, it seems the answer has remained ambiguous,” wrote one fan.

During Monday episodea participant named Eleanor was given the clue: “A memorable photo from 2018 showed this president’s flag-draped coffin, with his service dog Sully next to it.”

She simply replied, “Who is Bush?”

To which Mayim replied, “Yes, George HW Bush.”

While only George HW Bush has passed and George W. Bush is still alive, fans were upset that Mayim didn’t ask Eleanor to be more specific.

Because participants often mistakenly guessed that several interesting people were dead while they were alive, viewers said it could be the case this time as well.

Whatever happens, if there are multiple possible responses with the same shortened answer, fans feel that Mayim should always ask players for a more detailed answer.

With the host now failing to do this twice in a row, an upset fan bellows: “Mayim has AGAIN accepted a simple answer like ‘who is Bush’ regarding a president.

“FFS, are the judges watching ALL?!?”

Another said: “‘Who is Bush?’ is a *textbook* example of a ‘Be more specific’ response from a participant.”

A third insisted: “Just to be clear, a good host would have needed more information to specify which shrub she was referring to. #Jeopardy – real fans know that.”
