Amazon Prime Day officially starts on July 12 and runs until 13, but early deals are already pouring in between the retailer and its competitors. For example, there are currently several Google products for sale at Amazon and retailers such as Target, from the Chromecast With Google TV to Nest Cams. Know that some of these items may get further discounts on Prime Day itself, but these are still solid deals.

Doorbell & Security Camera Deals
The Nest video doorbell is our second choice, comes second to Arlo’s Essential simply because it is more expensive. This deal matches the cheapest we’ve seen in recent months. It is easy to assemble and easy to remove for charging (the battery lasts more than a month). The smart notifications that identify faces and packages are also accurate, but you’ll need a Nest Aware subscription ($6 per month). You can find this deal at Best Buy also.
a . required indoor security camera† This simple camera looks elegant, can be mounted and has no battery, which means you have to plug it in. (On the plus side, you never have to charge it.) WIRED review editor Julian Chokkattu has had one pointed at his front door for the past year and has had good experiences with it, although the Nest Aware Subscription expands your video history. This deal isn’t uncommon, but it’s still a good one. This deal is also available at Target†
This security camera works just like the indoor camera above, except it runs on batteries and can withstand rain, wind and snow. It has a 130-degree field of view and 1080p video, which senior associate editor of WIRED Adrienne So says showed a clear view of her driveway, front door and even most of her front yard. The battery should be charged after a little over a month. This deal is also available at Target† There is a bundle of two pieces also on sale for $250 ($80 off)or a 4-pack for $490 ($170 off)†
If you’re planning to monitor an otherwise dark and gloomy area, this camera is functionally similar to the Nest Cam above, but it doesn’t run on a battery and has two spotlights on either side. The lights can come on automatically, say when the camera detects movement, or you can set a schedule or your voice to turn it on. This deal is also available at Target†
Phone, laptop and speaker deals
We like Google’s Pixel 6 Pro (9/10, WIRED recommended) because it has a spectacular camera system, with a great camera with 4x optical zoom, a sharp 120 Hz screen refresh rate with an AMOLED panel and many useful smart software features powered by Google’s Tensor processor. Oh, and a battery that generally lasts an entire day. The phone has had quite a few bugs but many of the issues have now been fixed. Just know that the Pixel 7 Pro coming towards the end of the year.
If you are looking for a new one android phonemost people should go for the Pixel 6† This is a small deal, but it is an incredible value. You get a 90Hz AMOLED display, wireless charging, the same powerful Tensor processor, and a great dual-camera system.
This is the first generation wireless charger from Google, not the newer ones, second generation version† It will charge any device with wireless charging support just fine, in landscape or portrait orientation. Putting a Pixel phone on it gives you a few extra benefits, such as mood lighting that mimics the sunrise, a digital photo frame feature, and quick access to smart home controls. Read our Best Wireless Chargers Guide for more options.
Nest audio from Google (8/10, WIRED recommended) is one of our favorites smart speakers† This is the typical deal price it drops to during major sales events. The Nest Audio is the successor to the original Google Home from 2016 and offers deeper bass and louder sound for better music streaming. Of course, it’s powered by Google Assistant, so you can ask it anything you’d type into the Google search bar. Linking two together creates a solid stereo system. There is a physical switch to turn off the microphone, which we appreciate. This deal is Also available at Walmart†
The Nest Mini is the cheaper, smaller, and smaller version of the Nest Audio. It does not matter sounds so good, but it’s a great little speaker for small rooms in the house where you want to use your voice to control your smarthome devices. You can mount it on the wall (as long as there is an outlet nearby).
If you can do all your work from the Chrome browser, a Chromebook might be all you need. This Pixelbook Go is getting a bit old, but it’s still one of our favorite Chromebooks and it runs perfectly. The screen is bright, the keyboard is beautiful and this Core i5 model is powerful enough for most.
Smart Display & Router Deals
This router often drops to this price, but it fluctuates to $169, so this is still a solid deal. The Nest Wifi is easy to set up, looks elegant and creates a reliable mesh network in your home. This deal is for the router only, but you can add a Nest Point to extend the coverage, that bundle is $149 ($120 off) (also available at Target† Do you already have a router but want to add the Point? It is also on sale for $95 ($55 off)† Read our Best Mesh Routers Guide for more recommendations.
This is a pretty common deal for this smart thermostat. We have not extensively reviewed this exact version, but we have a guide on how to confirm and set compatibility† If you like how Google operates its smart home, we think you’ll like this. The deal is also available at Target and Bis to buy† the newer one Nest Thermostat is also on sale for $100 ($30 off)† It doesn’t learn or adapt to your habits, but you can still set schedules.
Technically, this is a deal, but the Nest Hub Max (8/10, WIRED recommended) is often discounted to this price enough that you should never buy it at full price. This version has a camera if you want to use it for video chatting. It’s a handy companion, as you can see your security camera feed (if the camera supports it), guide you through cooking instructions, or simply act as a digital picture frame.
the cameraless Nest Hub is also for sale. This one has a 7-inch screen as opposed to the Nest Hub Max’s 10-inch screen, so it’s more ideal for small spaces like bedrooms. This 2nd-gen model can also detect your sleeping habits in case you want to make sure you’re working seven hours every night (no wearable required). View our Best Smart Display Guide for more details.
