Apple has released an update to its beta firmware for several AirPods models, including AirPods Pro, AirPods Max, and second-generation AirPods.
On Wednesday, Apple released a new version of the beta software, bringing the updated build number to 5A5304a. The previous build was numbered 5A5282d.
According to Apple, the beta software includes improvements to Automatic Switching in addition to more general bug and stability fixes.
Both AppleInsider and Apple Strongly recommended users avoid installing betas on “mission-critical” or primary devices because of the potential for data loss or other problems. Instead, it’s recommended that you install betas on secondary or non-essential devices and make sure you have enough backups of important data before making any major changes.
