Joe Cole was ‘happy’ with the progress Chelsea showed in their Champions League beat AC Milan and single out ‘sublime’ Reece James for praise.
He told BT Sport: “There was a huge class gap between the two teams tonight. It was a routine win for Chelsea.
“It was really disappointing from Milan actually, because they threw in the towel towards the end of the goal. That won’t sit well with Milan fans.
“But Chelsea was great, Reece James was sublime all night, there aren’t enough superlatives for that man.
“It was so routine for Chelsea. To do that for an AC Milan show, we’re going in the right direction, so I’m absolutely delighted.”
