Legendary American guitarist Carlos Santana is currently recovering after collapsing onstage during a performance in Clarkson, Michigan, on Tuesday evening, July 5.
The performer passed out during the show at the Pine Knob Music Theater due to heat exhaustion and dehydration.
The incident left fans shocked and concerned. But according to representatives of the star, he is recovering well.
“Carlos has been taken to McLaren Clarkston’s emergency department for observation and is doing well,” said Santana’s manager Michael Vrionis.
The iconic guitarist’s Wednesday show at The Pavilion at Star Lake in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania has now been postponed, with a later date to be announced shortly.
The 74-year-old was about 20 minutes into his set sitting on a drum riser when the song “Joy” started and fell backwards before a medical team came to his aid.
