A video posted on Twitter by user @ldtnubs shows people being evacuated from the terminal as a siren goes off.
The alarm is accompanied by an automatic message that reads: “Attention please. An incident has occurred that requires the immediate evacuation of this area.”
Armed Special Operations officers have been reported to be on site and ensuring that the evacuation is carried out efficiently.
Twitter user @ldtnubs tweeted: “The entire terminal three is being evacuated at Manchester Airport.
“No news yet, but everyone is leaving.”
