Good friends Our Jabeur and Tatyana Maria face each other this afternoon Center Court for a place in the Wimbledon final.
It’s no surprise to see the world’s number two and third-seeded Jabeur in the semi-finals. The 27-year-old went all the way to Berlin to start her grass court season and she was equally impressive in SW19, dropping just one set en route to the last four to reach her first Grand Slam semi-final.
She now faces Maria, whom Jabeur has described as “part of my family”. The German has needed three sets in all but one of the matches in the tournament so far, although Jelena Ostapenko and Maria Sakkari are two of the big names she already has the upper hand over. Maria arrived at Wimbledon after never progressing past the third round of a Grand Slam before. Follow all the action live with Matt Verri at Wimbledon below!

Forecast
For the first time in the tournament, Jabeur lost a set in the quarter-finals, but her response was relentless as she quickly got things back on track. The third seed looked impressive throughout the lawn season and many expected the deep Wimbledon run that spawned them.
Maria, meanwhile, had never made it past the third round of a Grand Slam before and had needed three sets in four of her five matches so far. It would be a big shock if she booked her place in the Wimbledon final.
Jabeur wins in straight sets.
