Boehly lands in Barcelona…

Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly was pictured in Barcelona tonight amid reports of crunch transfer talks with the LaLiga club.

Potential deals for Frenkie de Jong, Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso are all touted as the Blues look to rebuild Thomas Tuchel’s squad.

Spanish outlet Jijantes filmed Boehly, 48, leaving the airport in Barcelona and chuckling as he was questioned about possible deals, especially for Dutch midfielder De Jong.

A later clip from COPE showed Boehly walking into a restaurant and when asked about transfer talks, he innocently replied, “We’re here to eat.”

Martinez fight continues

Erik ten Hag has pushed his personal relationship with Lisandro Martinez to Manchester United rather than Arsenal as the reason for the Ajax defender.

The Dutch club has set a £106 million fee for the Red Devils to sign both Martinez and winger Antony, according to the Daily Record.

The two players have reportedly told Ajax that they want to leave.

That is according to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, who is detailing the Leicester midfielder’s wait for the Gunners to make an official offer.

The Barcelona forward revealed his desire to one day return to the Premier League after dipping his toe at Manchester United.

Former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez will not move to River Plate after being knocked out of the Copa Libertadores – and remains a free agent.

He told Ovacion: “I was really excited about the opportunity to go to River Plate to fight for the Copa Libertadores.

“It’s a dream to win a trophy in South America. Like River missed it [on the Copa]that possibility is gone.”
