Doja Cat has hit at Noah Schnapp after the Weird stuff actor shared DMs she sent him without her knowledge about his co-star.
The singer, 26, had messaged Noah, 17, who plays Will Byers on the hit Netflix show, ask him to pair her up with Joseph Quinn, 29, who plays Eddie Munson.
She had messaged him, “Noah, can you tell Joseph to call me,” before adding, “Wait no. does he have a girlfriend [girlfriend]†
Noah then replied: ‘LMAOO slide in his dms’, to which Doja wrote: ‘idk [I don’t know] are IG or Twitter. Doesn’t have a DM to slide in,” before Noah sent her his page.
The teenage star later shared the interaction on his TikTok page, angering Doja for “feeling uncomfortable” when he shared the posts online.
She took to her Instagram live to detail the incident, telling her followers, “I think we’ll be honest, let’s think about it first. Like Noah’s a kid, but I don’t even know how old he is, but he’s not even over yet – like there’s no way he’s older than 21.”
Doja added: “But when you’re that young, you make mistakes. You do stupid things. I try to be super honest. You do stupid things, you say stupid things, you fucking relationships with people. You make mistakes.
“The idea is for you to know that you don’t have to do that again in the future. I’ve done my fair share of f**k-ups so I won’t f**k-up again.’
The Say So star revealed she was hurt by what happened, adding: “The fact that Noah did, like went and posted a private conversation between me and him is so incredibly socially oblivious and whack.
“That’s like borderline snakes**t, that’s like weasels**t. And I’m not saying that encapsulates his entire personality—as if that’s not how I’m portraying Noah.
“Maybe he is, like a whole snake. But I didn’t see him that way. I assumed he would take it easy and he was going to share information that I wouldn’t feel comfortable sharing.”
Noah has not yet publicly responded to Doja’s latest comments.
