A federal high court in Abuja on Thursday, July 7, disqualified Delta Peoples Democratic Party governor candidate in Delta State, Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, from running in the 2023 elections.
Oborevwori was disqualified from participating in the election due to discrepancies in his certificates.
Judge Taiwo Taiwo, who presided over the case, ruled that the plaintiff, David Edevbie, proved beyond reasonable doubt that Oborevwori was not qualified due to the discrepancies in his documents.
Delta PDP chairman, Kingsley Esiso, said when contacted that he has yet to read the court’s verdict to know the next line of action.
