In today’s wild and bizarre showbiz story, Army HammerThe team is forced to tear down claims that the actor is an afterthought as a concierge at a hotel in the Cayman Islands.

We told you this was a stranger.

Earlier this week, a viral tweet made the rounds showing a flyer featuring the 35-year-old Social Network actor’s mug claiming he was an employee of Morritt’s Resort.

However, in a move that likely has him wondering why he does his day job, Hammer’s attorney Andrew Brettler confirmed that the flyer is a fake.

That, and to rub salt in the wounds of anyone hoping for the actor – who has stepped out of the Hollywood spotlight following sexual abuse allegations, that he has vehemently denied – a quieter career route was taken, a hotel employee (a real one) who also spoke with Variety on the phone said the photo was all down to a joke.

The photo that everyone is losing breakfast over came from a since-deleted tweet by verified Twitter user @Muna_Mire, in which Mire wrote: “My boyfriend’s parents went on vacation in the Cayman Islands and army hammer was their janitor I’m still not beyond it.’

The image of Hammer reads: ‘I am your personal concierge.’

In another tweet that depicts a conversation, a screenshot reads: “Fun fact: Our concierge is The Arnie [sic] Hammer.’

Hammer withdrew from public life last year and spent seven months in rehab after allegations of sexual assault and cannibalistic fantasies, all of which he denied.

In January 2021, unverified messages, allegedly from Hammer, were leaked online in which the sender had cannibalistic and disturbing sexual fantasies and wanted the recipients of the messages to be his slaves.

In March, a 24-year-old woman known as Effie claimed to have been in an on-again, off-again relationship with Hammer for four years after meeting him on Facebook in 2016.

She claimed he “violently” assaulted her for four hours, repeatedly hitting her head against a wall.

Hammer’s lawyer called the allegations “outrageous” and made a statement to Metro.co.uk which read: “Effie’s own correspondence with Mr. Hammer undermines and refutes her outrageous accusations. Still on July 18, 2020, [she] sent graphic texts to Mr. Hammer to tell him what she wanted him to do to her. Mr. Hammer replied and made it clear that he did not want to maintain such a relationship with her. The screenshot below is just one of hundreds [she] sent to Mr. Hammer.’

Hammer never intended to embarrass or expose her fetishes or kinky sexual desires, but she has now taken this case to another level by hiring a civil attorney to conduct a public press conference. to organize. With the truth on his side, Mr. Hammer welcomes the opportunity to set the record straight.”

He continued: “From day one, Mr. Hammer has maintained that all of his interactions with… [her] – and any other sexual partner of his for that matter – are fully consensual, discussed and agreed upon, and mutually participatory. [Her] demanding attention and an unwise legal offer will only make it more difficult for real victims of sexual violence to get the justice they deserve.’

Last year, the actor — who shares two children with estranged wife Elizabeth Chambers, seven-year-old daughter Harper and five-year-old son Ford — left the upcoming series on The Godfather, The Offer, and was replaced by Josh Duhamel in Shotgun Wedding. , and was dropped from the Cold War drama Billion Dollar Spy — which he thought was the last film on his slate.
