Apple’s MacBook Air with M2 processor is now available for pre-order

Apple has officially started taking pre-orders for the newly designed and M2-equipped MacBook Airwith orders expected to arrive as early as July 15.

As expected, starting Friday, July 8 at 8:00 a.m. ET, customers will be able to pre order now the newly designed MacBook Air model from Apple’s website. Preorders started about a month after the computer was announced at the company’s WWDC 2022 keynote, paralleling the M2 13-inch MacBook Pro.

The new MacBook Air can be configured with 8 GB, 16 GB and 24 GB of unified memory. It can also be equipped with 512 GB, 1 TB or 2 TB of built-in SSD storage.

Compared to the previous generation MacBook Air, the new model has been given a completely new design with a boxier but thinner chassis, a larger screen with a notch and the next generation M2 chip.

In addition, the new MacBook Air has an improved 1080p FaceTime HD camera, MagSafe with fast charging, and updates to the speaker and microphone system.

The new MacBook Air starts at $1,499 and comes in at about $2,499. Apple says early preorders will arrive on Friday, July 15. In addition, it will also appear in Apple retail stores and other brick-and-mortar stores at the same time.
