It was speculated that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were invited to spend time in the Queen’s summer residence in Balmoral. The invitation is thought to have been made during the couple’s fleeting visit to the UK last month for the Queen’s platinum jubilee. But royal commentator Neil Sean told his YouTube channel that Meghan and Harry declined the invitation.
Sean spoke of speculation about the Sussexes’ summer plans, as he explained it was unlikely the couple would spend time with the Queen at her Scottish royal residence.
He suggested the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were “too busy” in Los Angeles to make the trip.
It’s also clear that the “real reason” behind the obtuse is that the Duke wants to avoid a “spiky” discussion about his upcoming all-in-one memoir.
He said: “According to that good source, even the allure of Balmoral with all those beautiful skies, highlands, treats and of course spending time with the world’s most interesting woman, they are seemingly too busy in my opinion.”

He continued: “It looks like Harry and Meghan will have to politely decline the invitation to go to Balmoral to spend some time with our gracious monarch.
According to that source, the real reason, as we know, is that Prince Harry is preparing to release his all-encompassing book in the fall.
“This can turn out to be really tricky and tricky, can’t it?
“Because I’m sure that would come up, rightly so.
“And of course if you’re sitting across from your grandmother and you have to explain exactly what you’re going to do, or what you’re going to say, then a really tricky situation arises.
“So of course Harry and Meghan have decided that the easiest way out is to unfortunately not be there.”
Penguin Random House claims that Harry’s memoir “will share, for the very first time, the definitive account of the experiences, adventures, losses and life lessons that shaped him”.
Earlier this week, Harry and Meghan were spotted celebrating Independence Day on July 4 with their son Archie.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were spotted at a trendy Wyoming ski resort, where Archie was holding an American flag.

The Balmoral trip could have sparked an uneasy reunion with Prince William, who usually goes to Balmoral in the summer to spend time with the Queen.
The news will delight many in the UK as a poll in June showed that a majority of Express.co.uk readers did not think the Queen should invite the couple to Balmoral.
In a poll that ran from 11am Tuesday 28 June to 1pm Thursday 30 June, Express.co.uk asked: “Should Meghan and Harry be invited to Balmoral?”
A total of 6,852 people responded with the dominant answer “no”, winning with a 95 percent landslide (6,523 people)
Meanwhile, four percent (287 people) said “yes,” they should be invited to stay, and only one percent (42 people) said they knew about neither.
