Accidents were reported after a house explosion ripped off a residential street in Birmingham.
Photos from the aftermath show how a house was completely hollowed out by the explosion at 20:38.
West Midlands police could not say on Sunday night how many people were injured or disclose the severity of their injuries.
Local residents reported neighbors bravely ran into the burning house to rescue residents after the explosion on Dulwich Road, Kingstanding.
The cause of the blast is not yet known, police said.
The force tweeted: “Thank you for all your kind words. Our thoughts are with all those affected by this.
“Emergency workers from all services and the energy companies work really hard in very difficult circumstances.
“Thank you to people who helped shocked and injured neighbors.”
An ambulance spokesperson tweeted: “We are currently dealing with a significant incident in Dulwich Road in the Kingstanding area of Birmingham.
A large number of ambulance resources are on the scene along with the scene @WestMidsFire and @WMPolisie The public is asked to stay away from the area so that we can work. ”
