The MacBook Pro 2021 is a portable powerhouse that you’ll want to take anywhere, but it’s also an expensive machine that could use some protection. Here are some of the best cases to protect your brand new laptop.
There are so many choices for the 2021 MacBook Pro, and we’ve used most of them. These are the cases we think are the best – and all of these cases come in both 14- and 16-inch sizes.
Incase Hardshell Case Dots for MacBook Pro
Incase is another popular accessory maker that has been making cases for Apple devices for many years. The company’s Hardshell Case Dots cover for the late 2021 MacBook Pro features a textured polka dot design to give the laptop a subtle style.
Incase calls itself the creator of the MacBook’s original hard case and says the design was inspired by Apple. It has rubber feet to stabilize the laptop, wide cutouts for port access and extra ventilation to ensure proper cooling of the laptop. The 100% recyclable Makrolon polycarbonate plastic is made in a low-emission process.
It is available in Clear, Black and Ice Pink options and costs $54.95.
Speck SmartShell for MacBook Pro (2021)
Available in four color options, it has clips to secure itself to the MacBook and rubber feet to increase traction against a table.
The case is scratch resistant and helps the laptop withstand scratches, dents and punctures. This comes in a design that is still remarkably thin. The SmartShell case retails for $49.95, but can be found on Amazon for up to 32% off.
Fintie Protective Case for MacBook Pro
The Fintie Protective Case is the highest rated case on Amazon and features a rugged APU material design.
The rubber bumpers on the corner protect the edges of the laptops from bumps or knocks. The design bills itself as “easy to put on or take off”, allowing full access to the ports and plenty of room for the built-in Liquid Retina XDR display.
It is also vented to ensure the material does not overheat the laptop. The Fintie Protective Case sells for $32.99.
Spigen Case MacBook Pro Urban Fit
Spigen’s Urban Fit polycarbonate and fabric case uses the combination of materials to add style to the laptop without sacrificing protection.
The knitted fabric gives the user’s hands a comfortable grip on the laptop, while the polycarbonate material protects the laptop. Unlike other cases, it has a fold-out stand so that the user can have a workstation-like setup.
It also features a magnetic closing mechanism to keep the lid securely closed when the laptop is not in use, and works with the MacBook’s built-in magnetic sleep/wake function. The Spigen Urban Fit cases for Apple’s 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro sell for $69.99.
Urban Armor Gear Dot Series MacBook Pro
Urban Armor’s simple snap-on design is combined with a “progressive dot pattern” to provide excellent protection for the MacBook Pro.
With a one-piece hinge made of lightweight plastic material, it is easy to install. The sleeve also protects the laptop from scratches, while being wafer-thin. It also features drilled vents for good airflow.
Available in four colors for $59.95 each, the case also adds a pop of color to the protection.
