APC presidential candidate Bola Tinubu has announced former Borno state governor Kashim Shettima as his running mate for the 2023 general election.
Tinubu made this known in an interactive session with journalists after a visit to President Muhammadu Buhari in Daura, Katsina State on Sunday, July 10.
Shettima, a staunch supporter of Tinubu, played a key role in his emergence as the ruling party’s presidential candidate. Born on September 2, 1966 in the family of Sir Kashim Ibrahim, he is married to Nana Shettima and they have three children: two women and a man.
He was Governor of Borno State from 2011 to 2019.
