THE standard of food in the World Cup fan zone has come down – while the prices are also being called into question.
Earlier this year, the organizers promised the “best FIFA Fan Festival in history” in Qatar.
But judging by the quality and prices of food, it’s probably the opposite.
That of the sun Martin Lipton went to the fan park and was amazed at what awaits the supporters.
Around 40,000 people from around the world are expected to watch the biggest football show.
However, they better not come on an empty stomach, as they are likely to be disappointed.
If you are interested in staying healthy during the World Cupa greek salad, which doesn’t exactly look appetizing, costs £9.
There’s also an extremely depressing plate of nachos with a medium amount of guacamole distilled from a plastic bottle, about £4.60.
The Mexican theme doesn’t stop there though, there’s also chicken quesadillas on the menu, which cost £8, the same price as a pepperoni pizza.
Unsurprisingly, fans are upset about the state of the food.
