The raging weather ravages Taranaki, leaving more than 200 homes without power.
Power has been lost at 222 properties in Warea and Powerco is conducting a site survey to determine the cause.
And as MetSevice issues a heavy rain warning from midnight Monday to noon Tuesday, more bad weather is expected in the coming hours.
There is also a strong wind watch, with northeasterly winds expected to approach severe storm in the exposed areas.
Rain is forecast for every day for the next week.
