Only a small circle of Weatherfield residents know Gary (played by) Mikey North) is able to take a life.

The character is part of the Street’s most notorious serial killers and his murderous streak appeared for the first time when he tried to take loan shark Rick Neelan down†

However, by Rick’s daughter Kelly (Millie Gibson), Gary made a promise to herself to take care of her without ever telling her the truth about his actions.

Lucky for him, Rick’s estranged wife Laura Neelan took the blame.

But when the wayward teen goes missing after trying to do good by the people her father wronged, the former army seems poised for bloodshed.

Next week, Gary and his wife Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) realize that Kelly never came home.

He then puts two and two together when Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain) tells them that Kelly has gone to another former client of her father’s.

Meanwhile, Kelly gets a phone call from one of her captors named Kieran, who tells her to text Gary to tell him she’s okay.

Kelly comes up with a way to let Gary know she’s in danger via text message by asking him her mom (who died of cancer in previous episodes) that she is safe.

Gary immediately knows something is wrong, while Kieron tells Kelly he wants the rest of her father’s money.

The thug calls Gary from Kelly’s phone and tells him that if he ever wants to see Kelly alive again, he’ll have to come up with £50k.

Gary collects £24k in cash and sets out to meet Kelly’s captors to hand them the money.

However, both Kieron and Ross make it clear to him that he will have to find the rest of the money or Kelly’s life will be hell.

Gary manages to break into the basement and reveal to Kelly that he put a tracking device in the money bag.

But just as they are about to escape, Keiron appears with a crowbar.

A fight ensues between the men – and Kelly is shocked to see how far Gary is willing to go.

In later scenes, uneasy after seeing Gary’s dark side, Kelly questions him about his intention to kill Keiron.
