WWE Raw Results, Numbers: Dolph Ziggler Returns and Attacks Theory

Dolph Ziggler explains Theory with a huge super kick (Picture: WWE)

WWE Raw ended with Dolph Ziggler making a shocking return and statement when he laid out Theory before the show went off air.

The Show Off hasn’t been seen on Monday evenings for a while, the last time it was on the 6th of June, but it certainly made an impression at the expense of Mister money in the bank

He made his presence felt at the main event as Theory teamed up with Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins to take on Riddle and American Champion Bobby Lashley.

The match itself was fantastic as you would expect with the wealth of talent involved here, and all four men certainly gave their best as they put on a great show with the fans loving the action.

The All Mighty was initially set for a US Title Open Challenge and hopefully we’ll get it at some point, but this main event was a fair trade.

At one point Ziggler’s music hit and… the former world champion came down in a sharp suit to watch the action from ringside, finally making his presence felt as he pushed Theory’s feet off the ropes to avoid cheating.

This provided distraction and left the rising star open to an RKO from Riddle, which was all the Original Bro needed to take the win.

However, there was more to come, with Ziggler seemingly reinforcing his babyface turn by super kicking Theory to bring the show to an intriguing and exciting conclusion, while fans gave the returning superstar the response he deserves.

Brock Lesnar Destroys Alpha Academy, WWE Airs Another Creepy Vignette, and Bianca Belair Defends Raw Women’s Title

The evening started with Brock Lesnar returning to Raw . months later losing to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 38 in April, and he received a typically warm welcome from the fans before addressing their Last Man Standing Match at SummerSlam.

Paul Heyman interrupted The Beast Incarnate when the former employees got into a heated argument, but Theory came out to pitch the idea that he would be cashing in his Money In The Bank briefcase later this month.

He was soon joined by Alpha Academy, who tried to attack Lesnar but was knocked down in a ridiculously fun beat that ended with the F-5 hitting Otis through the announcement table.

Before the first game of the evening, Damian Priest crushed Rey Mysterio and tried to convince his son Dominik to enter Judgment Day, before Finn Balor defeated Rey Mysterio in a fun clash between two veterans.

Becky Lynch stood ringside to watch Bianca Belair defend her Raw Women’s Title against Carmella in a Money In The Bank rematchand she demanded a shot against the winner at SummerSlam.

WWE’s EST worked well with Carmella here, delivering another entertaining fight that ended when Big Time distracted Becks Belair, meaning her rival lost the count.

Still the champ, Belair hit the KOD on Mella to get some momentum.

Ciampa was a guest on Miz TV this week, but the A-Lister dominated the conversation when he focused on Logan Paul before AJ Styles hit the ring.

After the break, the Phenomenal One teamed up with Ezekiel to take out Ciampa and Miz in a good, solid fight that saw the former NXT champion disqualified for a relentless attack on AJ, who was not the legal man.

Asuka teamed up with Alexa Bliss in a fun sprint as they beat Nikki ASH and Doudrop.

Angelo Dawkins took on Jimmy Uso, but R-Truth interrupted proceedings and offered to be a tag team advisor and even referee for their SummerSlam match.

MVP and Omos hit the ring and suggested the Nigerian giant as the official, and a brawl broke out leading to a six-man tag match.

This was a ton of fun from start to finish, with Omos taking the win and holding Dawkins.

Elsewhere in the show, we got another creepy vignette, this time with references to John Cena, Mick Foley, and Randy Orton – with all the signs pointing to Edge being behind the videos.

WWE Raw kicks off Monday night at 1 a.m. on BT Sport 1.
