If you’ve been putting off buying Nintendo gaming goodies that have been tantalizingly sitting in your Amazon basket for months, now is the time to complete that purchase as the online retail giant is treating us to two days of jaw-dropping deals.
As the most popular Nintendo product – with sales exceeding 100 million worldwide – the Switch is loved by everyone from kids after their first console to professional gamers competing for their skills on Mario Kart and its vast library. It is for this reason that the console and its games are rarely for sale.
That’s why when Amazon Prime Day hits, the Switch will become one of the coveted game items and we don’t expect less this year.
When is Amazon Prime Day 2022?
After weeks of waiting, Amazon Prime Day 2022 has finally been revealed – it’s today! The mega sale will take place between 12:01 AM on July 12 and 11:59 PM on July 13, giving you a whopping 48 hours to grab those deals.
Do you need a Prime account to get the deals?
In short – yes, but if you are not yet an Amazon Prime member, fear not, because Amazon offers a 30 day free trial so you can buy deals without paying the £7.99 monthly fee. You can also subscribe for just £79 a year or if you’re a student it’s just £3.99.
What kind of deals are there?
There are two main forms of Amazon deals; Lightning deals and offers of the day. A Lightening deal is a discount on a product that is offered for a short period of time, ranging from an hour to half a day. The Deal of the Day, on the other hand, is only around for 24 hours and can be found on the Amazon UK deals page.
What deals on Nintendo Switch were there last year?
Last year there were some great deals on the Nintendo Switch and the latest games. Not only were large sums of money generously knocked off the Switch, but customers were able to save more with game and Switch bundles with one offer including the console, Sports party† Rayman Legends and monopoly all for less than €300.
What deals can we expect this year?
Great! In previous years Amazon has not disappointed with its discounts and the same is true this year as we found well-priced Switch, OLED and Switch Lite devices. Nintendo accessories such as the Pro Controller and Charging Dock and a range of games have also lowered prices.
