Longtime EastEnders viewers will no doubt remember Dan Sullivan (Craig Fairbrass), whose intense feud with Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) led to the ‘Who shot Phil?’ storyline in 2001.
Dan originally came to the Square as the boyfriend of Carol Jackson (Lindsay Coulson), before it was revealed that he had previously had an affair with her daughter Bianca (Patsy Palmer) – which he then rekindled.
Phil and Dan started out as friends, but the relationship soon deteriorated after Dan reported Phil to the police about a parking lot scam, and Phil had Dan ripped off his share of the Queen Vic. When Phil was shot, Dan was one of the prime suspects before it was revealed that Phil had indeed been shot by his girlfriend Lisa Shaw (Lucy Benjamin†
In all, Craig appeared in 137 episodes as Dan, and when he last heard of the character he was living in Spain – so in theory he could return at any time.
A memorable character, then, and known for his tall, dark, shaggy appearance. So you could still see him if he dyed his hair blonde?
