At Sky Stadium, Wellington: Ireland 30 (Jordan Larmour tries 8 min, 78 min, Nick Timoney 33 min, Gavin Coombes 67 min, Ciaran Frawley 2 con, 2 pen) Maori All Blacks 24 (Shaun Stevenson try 4 min, penalty try 46 min, Ruben Love 70 min, Brad Weber 80 min, Josh Ioane con) HT: 17-5.
Two tries by winger Jordan Larmour gave Ireland a 30-24 win over the Māori All Blacks at Wellington’s Sky Stadium on Tuesday, continuing the tourists’ momentum as they progress to Saturday’s series decider against the All Blacks.
Both teams scored four tries each, with Ciaran Frawley’s accurate boot of the first five showing the difference in wet conditions.
Substitute Ruben Love sparked off the bench, scored a spectacular try and provided full-time co-captain Brad Weber with another try, but the Māori All Blacks left their run late, with the full-time horn sounding after Josh Ioane had made his conversion.
