This is the shocking moment when four men from Tower Bridge plunge backwards into the River Thames amid the blistering heat wave.
Footage shows the daredevils simultaneously jumping at least 30 feet from the iconic monument into the muddy water below.
A crowd gathers as a fourth jumper waits for his mates to get out of the river before jumping himself.
“Jumping off Tower Bridge with the boys,” amateur photographer Adam Szaniawski captioned the clip on Instagram.
The Royal Netherlands Navy previously warned against such ‘extremely dangerous’ jokes.
A teenager nearly drowned when he jumped from Tower Bridge in 2015. The rapid current of the river also makes swimming in the water treacherous.
Mr Szaniawski’s followers seemed to enjoy the stunt and called it “sick” – meaning good – in the comments.
One warned ‘I hope you haven’t swallowed any microplastics’, while another said there are probably ‘some 50 diseases in that river alone’.
Mr Szaniawski’s Instagram page and YouTube channel features vlogs of visits to Chernobyl in Ukraine and footage of him climbing high-rise buildings in London.
Another video from two years ago shows him and his friends jumping into the Thames from various bridges during the lockdown.
Mr Szaniawski said at the time: ‘We were tired of sitting at home, so when the lockdown measures were relaxed we decided to go to London and have some fun.’
Temperatures in the capital continue to rise this week, but Londoners are advised to look for other ways to cool off, such as a cold shower.
