AS a global superstar, Lady Gaga is no stranger to being surrounded by security.
But the Rain On Me singer is now so famous that even her wardrobe has its own guards.
I learned that Donatella helped Versace design some costumes for her soon-to-be Chromatica Ball world tour and they are protected 24 hours a day.
She has worn the clothes during rehearsals for the tour, which kicks off on Sunday in Düsseldorf, Germany, and they are accompanied by guards when they are transported.
A source said: “The designer clothes, including Versace designs that Lady Gaga will wear, are priceless as they are made especially for her.
“There are many outfits that are monitored 24/7 because they are so precious and her team doesn’t want them to be damaged or seen by anyone.
“She likes a costume change, so there’s a lot of clothing to watch out for.
“Rehearsals have been intense for weeks and it is clear that everyone is prohibited from filming or taking pictures to ensure that everything is a surprise on opening night.
“It will be an absolute spectacle.”
During the 20-show outing, she will perform several songs from her 2020 No1 album Chromatica for the first time.
This month there will be two performances at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in north London.
As one of the greatest artists of her generation, I have no doubt it will be a great show.
CARLY’S SHOW IS SHARP FRONT
CARLY RAE JEPSEN was carefree and transparent while performing in this lace outfit in London.
The Call Me Maybe singer played a sold out show at Somerset House on Monday, where she revealed what she’s learned in her decade as a pop star.
She said, “Really, I think I’ve always worried about being too loud or too crazy or too emotional or too crazy and I think I’ve learned that there’s no such thing.”
But Carly didn’t like to hang out, perform a tight one-hour set that ended at 10 p.m. and said little more to the audience.
Of Adam Collard joins Love Island that night I can only assume she was in a hurry to see the final episode on ITV2+1.
SAM WILL direct THE AMY MOVIE
The AMY WINEHOUSE biopic hasn’t made much headway since its announcement four years ago, but the highly anticipated film finally has a director.
Sam Taylor-Johnson, who is best known for 2015’s gritty film Fifty Shades Of Gray is now on board.
The biopic was announced by Amy‘s family in 2018 and is called Back To Black, the title of her 2006 album with hits such as Rehab, You Know I’m No Good and Love Is A Losing Game.
The script is finished and the search for an actress for the portrayed singer – who passed away in 2011 at the age of 27 – will begin in the coming weeks.
Her father Mitch told The Sun they didn’t want an A-lister to take on the part.
He said: “I wouldn’t mind betting it would be an unknown young English London cockney actress who looks a bit like Amy.”
BLUE VINYL CLASSICS

Only 48 copies of each of the ten selected albums have been printed, raising money for the UN Children’s Aid Agency.

The others are Carole King’s Tapestry, The Clash’s Combat Rock, Eurythmics’ Sweet Dreams, Janis Joplin’s Pearl, Leon Bridges’ Coming Home, Prince’s The Rainbow Children and Jimi Hendrix’s Live At Monterey.

PAMMI COUPLE EMMY JOY
LILY JAMES and Sebastian Stan are ready for a great night at the Emmys.
The pair have two nominations between them for their portrayal of Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee in Pam & Tommy, – Outstanding Lead Actress and Actor, and the show gets a nod as Outstanding Limited Series.
Zendaya broke the record for Youngest Producing Nominee thanks to her role in HBO’s Euphoria.
And Spider-Man’s Andrew Garfield got his first nod, for Outstanding Lead Actor In A Limited or Anthology Series for Under The Banner Of Heaven.
The awards ceremony will take place on September 20 in Los Angeles.
ROCHELLE BABY FEAR
ROCHELLE HUMES says she was worried her bandmates on The Saturdays would “hate” her after she got pregnant while in the group.
The What About Us singer, who had first daughter Alaia in 2013, at the height of their career, said: “We had just gone to America.
“We had a TV show there. I remember just thinking about it, like, ‘Oh my gosh, everybody’s going to hate me, ’cause we’re supposed to crack America right now.”
Rochelle has three children with husband Marvin, but doesn’t want any more.
She added on the Made By Mammas podcast, “I just need to be sensible and know we’re done.”
STORMZY JAZZ ON HIS LOOK
Unlike Lady Gaga and her priceless outfits, Stormzy’s idea of dressing up for a performance involves putting on his jeans.
The Heavy Is The Head rapper delivered a set on Monday at Switzerland’s Montreux Jazz Festival, which he opened with his 2019 Top Ten single Crown.
And the three-time Brit Award winner said he put some thought into the all-black outfit he wore on stage, following in the footsteps of other performers at the festival, including Diana Ross, Paolo Nutini and Bjork.
He said: “Because this is a jazz festival, I wore jeans. This is my first time wearing jeans on stage. I thought I was going to dress up.”
ENCORE FOR EMINEM
EMINEM releases another greatest hits album.
It comes after his 2005 best of compilation, Curtain Call, returned to the charts after his performance on the US Super Bowl halftime show in February, which was watched by millions worldwide.
Curtain Call 2 will feature music from the seven albums he has released since 2005, as well as his recent collaboration with Snoop Dogg, From the D 2 The LBC.
The compilation will also include a new track, although he can’t give details on that just yet.
The wait is not long though, because the album will be released on August 5.
ROMEO IS BECK ON THE MARKET
ROMEO BECKHAM is single again and looking for his Julia after breaking up with his long-term girlfriend.
David and Victoria’s middle son struggled to keep his romance with model Mia Regan alive after he moved to Miami while she remained in the UK, and they split after three years together.
Mia wants to focus on her career as a model and influencer.
A source said: “Romeo and Mia have decided to split up because it was difficult to keep the spark alive while living on opposite sides of the world.
“He plays football for his father’s team, Inter Miami II, so he can’t always fly back to see her. It’s been hard.
“They’re still close, but it’s just not viable at the moment. But who knows what will happen in the future.”
Romeo has removed photos of Mia from his Instagram account, although it appears they are not on bad terms.
They still follow each other and have commented and liked each other’s posts.
DUA: I WON’T GO POLITICS
She has millions of fans who will hang on to her every word, but Dua Lipa won’t lecture them on politics – not through her music, at least.
But she still wants to be heard.
Dua says she has no problem addressing social issues in her songs, as she did with Boys Will Be Boys, where she sang about women living in fear of being attacked by men.
Asked about her third album, she said: “Political music isn’t necessarily something I’m going to delve into.
“I like to make music that makes people feel good.
“I like to tell stories about things that happened to me to make people feel less alone.
“With Boys Will Be Boys, that was something when I had to write. I felt like I was talking about what it’s like to be a woman.
“But it really depends on what I’m going through and if the song is good enough.”
That is a relief. I’m all for people who fight for what they believe in.
But the last thing anyone wants is to hear about depressing political issues in a pop tune.
