Lauren Goodger has posted Celine Dion’s poignant song A Mother’s Prayer on Instagram following the death of her daughter.

Over the weekend, the former star of The Only Way Is Essex revealed that her second baby, a girl named Lorena, died after she was born

The 34-year-old – who also shares daughter Larose with boyfriend Charles Drury – said she had no pregnancy or childbirth complications, writing that “words cannot describe a mother losing your baby that I have perfected for all these months and also gave birth so that my angel would be taken from me.”

In a new post to her Instagram Story, Lauren performed the lyrics to A Mother’s Prayer, originally titled The Prayer by Celine and Andrea Boccelli.

The lyrics of Celine’s re-recorded solo version, which played on Lauren’s Story, read: ‘Lead her to a place. Guide her with your grace. To a place where she will be safe.’

When Lauren announced that she and Charles, 24, had suffered the loss of Lorena, she wrote that her daughter was “well and healthy.”

“Larose, she’s my rock to get me through this, otherwise I wouldn’t survive… I’ll never get over this, but I’ll learn to live every day with Lorena in my heart, she’ll always be with me and I’ll be with her again one day… My 👼 Lorena, I love you so much.’

Numerous stars shared messages of condolence for Lauren under her post, including Towie star Danielle Armstong, who wrote: ‘Oh dear, heartbroken for your strength and love and hope you get the respect and privacy you need to grieve 🤍 xxxx. ‘
