It would be a shame if you don’t appreciate the efforts of the government, #sad #fail #governments #effort Welcome to OLASMEDIA TV NEWSThis is what we have for you today:
Interior Minister Rauf Aregbesola reacted a few days ago to the attack on the Kuje reception center by suspected terrorists.
Aregbesola described the attack and others as a “fallout” from the federal government’s counter-terrorism success during a tour of the correctional centers in Lagos on Tuesday, July 12, stressing that insurgents have been decimated and are only looking for relevance.
The minister also said it would be a shame if Nigerians did not appreciate the efforts of the federal government.
He said;
“We are not vulnerable. There may be problems with motivation, we are not vulnerable.
“I want us to be very clear in our minds that if you don’t appreciate the efforts of the government, it would be too sad. There was a time when almost three quarters of the northeast was under siege by the insurgents. That is not the case today.
“The insurgents no longer have a foothold anywhere. So to be so successful in fighting insurgency, we must expect some consequences. The fallout is what we have. And that’s what you see when a phenomenon is about to die.
“So the insurgents and their associated evil companions, the bandits and the other cowardly criminals take advantage of the fact that the siege in their main theater has weakened and scattered them. So they are desperate for relevance.
“My assurance to Nigerians is that we are ready. We’re not giving up. We are ready to give them the fight that will eliminate them completely.”
