The popular video sharing app has featured videos comparing the Duchess’s life, fashion and legacy to that of the late Princess Diana. Some clips have millions of views and comments, and the vast majority support the late Princess of Wales.
The videos were shared ahead of the Duchess’ 75th birthday later this month, on July 17.
Royal author Omid Scobie said: “If you’ve been following the royal news long enough, you’re more than familiar with the unofficial tradition of marking Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall’s birthday on July 17th with long, glowing features describing how she has turned out. reversed her unpopularity to be hugely loved by the nation.
“Splashed with cheerful anecdotes about her friendly interactions with royal photographers and her ‘sharp humor’, the articles are often so positive that they read like advertorials”.
Camilla is also said to be a “favorite” member of the royal family among royal correspondents with her “eagerness to appeal to the press and win,” Mr Scobie said.
However, a positive image has not always been painted of the royal.
Camilla has previously spoken out about the criticism she received from the media and the public when news of her infamous affair with Prince Charles broke.
The Duchess told the Mail on Sunday: “I really had nowhere to go… It was horrible. It was a very unpleasant time and I wouldn’t want to inflict on my worst enemy. I couldn’t have survived it without my family.”
Camilla was married to Andrew Parker-Bowles and Charles to Princess Diana when news of her affair with the Queen’s son came to light.
But new polling data has now revealed that Camilla is number eight on the list of most popular royals according to royal fans.
Outside of the royalist bubble, however, general public sentiment seems uninterested in the royals.
This is according to findings from a recent poll showing that just 14 percent of Britons who replied would prefer Prince Charles’ wife to be queen consort.
Mr. Scobie wrote for YahooNews: “While time has certainly helped move Camilla’s story into what is now a life of servitude and royal duty, the story of her illicit affair with Prince Charles while Diana battled cleric in a miserable marriage. health demons still lingers for many.

And it’s not as much of a generational thing as you might think. A scroll through royal TikTok shows that the feelings among younger millennials and Gen-Z aren’t much different.
“Videos comparing Camilla’s life, fashion and legacy to Diana’s are viewed millions of times, all with overwhelming support for the late Princess of Wales.”
The royal pundit, who wrote Finding Freedom, said Netflix’s series The Crown “didn’t help” Camilla to represent the younger generation, as she was portrayed as a “chain-smoking adulterous woman”.
The series’ continued focus on Diana’s “three of us in marriage” reintroduced a story in which many followers weren’t even alive, Mr Scobie said.
