The incredible footage shows the endangered cat, known to locals in northern India as the ‘Ghost of the Mountain’, stalking its natural habitat more than 4 miles above sea level.
The snow leopard is virtually impossible to see “because of their legendary ability to blend in with their environment,” Fonseca told the Telegraph.
“They are probably the world’s most elusive cats, perfectly camouflaged on mountainous terrain.”
